Emma

Emma Baxter, Tiny Toes Reflexage™ Founder

Tiny Toes was founded after Emma’s own life changing experience. Emma was widowed when her son was just 16 months old, after losing her husband suddenly.

After several years juggling her career as an intensive care nurse and life as a single parent, Emma found love again and later remarried. Following a long struggle with infertility, she gave birth to a daughter in 2012. Unfortunately, the first few months were incredibly challenging for them both – her new baby was born with various medical conditions, including seven holes in her heart, and Emma developed postnatal depression.

It was during this time that Emma discovered reflexology and after her first session she was converted! Reflexology not only helped to relieve some of the struggles Emma was facing with her own mental health, she found it also seemed to alleviate the pain her new baby was experiencing.

From that moment, Emma knew that she wanted to help others discover the benefits of reflexology too. After 18 years, she made the decision to leave nursing and retrain in reflexology. Using her professional background and her lived experience to inform her practice, she developed the Tiny Toes Reflexage Technique. Her approved course is available for fellow reflexologists to train in, and the Techniques have reached parents across the UK, Ireland, Canada, and Australia.

Emma lives in Northampton with her son, daughter, husband and gorgeous cockapoo Harry. When she’s not busy running Tiny Toes alongside her adult reflexology business Lavender Room, Emma enjoys photography (you’ll often spot her latest snaps on Instagram). She spends most weekends by the sea and loves paddleboarding, camping and exploring in her van, Daisy.

History of Tiny Toes

Prior to training as a reflexologist Emma worked for almost 2 decades as a nurse, predominately in ITU.  After the birth of her daughter Emma retrained with Three Shires School of Reflexology and qualified as a level 5 reflexologist.  Emma is the owner of Tiny Toes Reflexology & Baby Massage and Lavender Room Reflexology and Principle tutor to the Tiny Toes Reflexage CPD course affiliated with  Three Shires Reflexology and accredited by  Professional Reflexology

In 2003 Wendy Finke principle of Three Shires School of Reflexology developed Tiny Toes reflexology and over the years trained many reflexologists.

Wendy has since trained Emma who now oversees the training and has further developed the course to combine baby reflexology with elements of baby massage and movement – Tiny Toes Reflexage.

This CPD course offers reflexologists the opportunity to expand their business and run their own classes or have the knowledge to support parents on a one to one basis.

The enjoyment and satisfaction you gain as a reflexologist from supporting parents and babies is wonderful.

Emma’s CPD courses are kept small to ensure a high level of learning and support. At the end of the course you will be a fully qualified Tiny Toes Reflexage Instructor and receive the Tiny Toes logo and a full sequence to use in your classes.

Tiny Toes has now expanded to offer online training world wide.  Claire Plain is the assistant tutor and online facilitator to those wishing to learn Tiny Toes Reflexage.
